NEW YORK: In its bid to lead in giving human-like sight to the 50 billion connected gadgets projected by using 2020, Intel has received San Mateo-based computer vision hardware maker Movidius. “I’m excited to announce our pending acquisition of Movidius. With Movidius, Intel profits low-strength, excessive-overall performance SoC (System on a Chip) systems for accelerating computer imaginative and prescient programs,” Josh Walden, senior vice president and popular manager of Intel’s New Generation Institution, said in a statement.
